Laser hair removal is a totally different concept to any other hair removal methods you have tried in the past. Until you understand how laser hair removal works and why is it effective you may assume it’s similar to waxing or other temporary hair removal methods. There are many miss-conceptions about the treatment, so let’s start with one that I get asked the most. Can you do laser hair removal every day?
The short answer is NO. But let’s dive into it and I will explain why you can’t do laser hair removal every day.
First let’s talk about how laser hair removal works
Laser works by emitting heat, that is picked up by the pigment in your hair. The heat turns into energy and gets transported by your hair straight to its root. Which is what the heat targets and destroys preventing future hair growth. So far it sounds easy right? It pretty much is this easy. So how does this affect your treatment intervals?
Can you do laser hair removal every day?
For the laser to destroy the root, the follicle has to be at a specific stage of its growth. So not too early and not too late. However as not all our follicles are growing at the same speed, we’ll be targeting new hair cycles each time. Which is why we ask you to attend your treatments in every 4-6 weeks.
If we treat too early or miss the cycle the treatment won’t be as effective. For this reason, during your initial consultation we’d encourage you to schedule all your appointments in advance to ensure consistency in your treatment plan.
