This can occur when the energy levels applied during your treatment are too low. And so instead of damaging the follicles they achieve the opposite effect that results in more hair growth.
This is a typical problem, when you’re treated with the wrong laser. So for example patients with darker skin tone, must be treated by Ndyag lasers only. However many clinics across London still try and treat them with lasers designed for lighter skin tone. As they’re fully aware that they’re doing something they not meant to; and essentially taking a risk of pigmenting the skin; they are keeping the energy levels on the minimum settings. So not only there will be no results for the patients, they’re constantly under the risk of getting pigmentation or burns. And on top they may also find themselves with more hair compared to when they started their treatments.
