And what to expect after your microneedling treatment?
What is Dermapen/Microneedling?
Microneedling is the insertion of pinpoint needles that create micro- channels for the purpose of triggering a wound healing response with intense renewal, repair, and rejuvenation.

What to expect after microneedling?
On the first day majority of my patients notice erythema and redness; severity of which will depend upon the aggressiveness of the performed treatment. But from reports of my patients in 90% of the cases this disappears by the next morning.
On the second day your skin may still be red or pink similar to moderate sunburn. But again there’s nothing to worry about. Very few of my patients report redness that lasts this long and can also be accompanied by some slight swelling.
By day three your skin may still retain a pink hue, or return to normal colour. In most cases by this point swelling subsides and your skin feels rejuvenated, glowing and fresh.
If you’re prone to breakouts and oily skin you may also experience breakouts in lots of lumps like pimples. But these’ll go away in 2-3 days. I want to assure you these’re also normal and it’s just your body purging itself of toxins.
As microneedling serves to stimulate the production of collagen, the skin needs higher amounts of collagen than normal to recover optimally. Collagen Stimulating Peptides assist in that process, further aiding in the stimulation of collagen production.
In general you can see a visibly rejuvenated skin after just 6-8 days following a procedure, with results further improving over time. For optimal result I always recommend at least a full course of microneedling sessions; however, improvement is usually noticeable after just one treatment.
