Skin Care Products

Better skin begins with products chosen for your skin, not somebody else’s routine

Finding the right skin care products should make looking after your skin easier. Yet with new ingredients, trends and “must-have” routines appearing constantly, it often feels more confusing than it needs to be.

The product that transformed someone else’s skin may irritate yours. A strong active may sound impressive but overwhelm a sensitive skin barrier. Even an excellent formula can become the wrong choice when combined with incompatible products or used at the wrong stage of a professional treatment plan.

At Skin Perfection London, we select skincare, scalp care, mineral makeup and skin supplements according to your individual needs. Our ranges include DermaQuest, Epionce, DP Dermaceuticals, Colorescience, Sensilis, EXO-GROW and Skinade.

We are not here to fill your bathroom cabinet. We are here to help you build a realistic routine that supports healthier-looking skin and works comfortably within your life.

When your skincare routine has become more complicated than your skin needs

You may already own several cleansers, serums, exfoliants and moisturisers. Perhaps some helped initially, while others caused dryness, congestion or sensitivity. Or maybe you have reached the point where you no longer know which products can safely be used together.

More skincare does not automatically mean better skin.

A successful routine should have a clear purpose. Depending on your needs, that may include cleansing without stripping the skin, supporting the skin barrier, managing congestion, improving hydration, protecting against daily UV exposure or maintaining the results of professional treatment.

We help you identify:

  • What your skin needs now
  • Which concerns should take priority
  • Which active ingredients may be appropriate
  • What could be contributing to irritation or congestion
  • Which products can work together
  • What to use before and after professional treatments
  • Which steps may be unnecessary
  • How to introduce new products gradually

Sometimes the most useful recommendation is adding one carefully chosen product. Sometimes it is removing three.

Why carefully selected skin care products matter

Many ranges used within skin clinics are described as professional, cosmeceutical or medical-grade skincare. These ranges provide targeted formulations for different skin concerns, tolerances and treatment goals.

However, a professional product is not automatically the right product for every person. Stronger does not always mean better, and using several active ingredients together can sometimes create more irritation than improvement.

The right routine may support skin affected by:

  • Dryness and dehydration
  • Congestion and blemishes
  • Excess oil
  • Uneven-looking tone
  • Post-blemish marks
  • Dullness
  • Fine lines and visible signs of ageing
  • Redness and sensitivity
  • A weakened skin barrier
  • Sun exposure
  • Professional treatment and recovery

We focus on thoughtful product selection rather than fear-based ideas about “good” and “bad” skincare. Your routine should support your skin, suit your lifestyle and contain products you can use consistently.

Skincare can make a meaningful difference to how your skin looks and feels, but it cannot diagnose or cure a medical skin condition. Persistent, painful, changing or unexplained symptoms may require assessment by a GP or dermatologist.

Skin care, scalp care and mineral makeup selected by our specialists

DermaQuest

dermaquest London

Read more about Dermaquest

DermaQuest offers targeted skincare options for concerns including dehydration, congestion, uneven-looking tone, texture and visible signs of ageing.

The range allows us to build routines at different levels, whether your skin needs gentle daily support or carefully selected active ingredients. Your recommendations will depend on your skin’s tolerance, current condition and any professional treatments you receive.

Epionce

Epionce London

Read more about Epionce

Epionce takes a barrier-conscious approach to skincare and includes options for cleansing, hydration, protection and the appearance of problem-prone or visibly ageing skin.

We may recommend Epionce when maintaining a healthy skin barrier forms an important part of your plan. The right combination will depend on your individual skin rather than a one-size-fits-all routine.

DP Dermaceuticals

DP Dermaceuticals

Read more about Dermaceuticals

DP Dermaceuticals offers skincare designed for daily skin support and use alongside selected Dermapen treatments.

The range includes options that may support hydration, protection and the skin’s recovery following an appropriate professional procedure. Your practitioner will explain exactly when to use each product because active skincare should not automatically continue before or immediately after every treatment.

Colorescience

Colorescience London

Read more about Colorescience

Colorescience combines mineral-based coverage with daily sun protection, helping you protect the skin while creating a natural, more even-looking finish.

The range may suit patients who want makeup that complements their skincare and treatment plan. Options may include tinted mineral protection, complexion products and formulas created for reapplication throughout the day.

No makeup or SPF suits everybody, so we will help you choose a formula and shade based on your skin, lifestyle and preferred level of coverage.

Sensilis

sensilis

Read more about Sensilis

Sensilis offers skincare and makeup options developed with sensitive and reactive skin in mind.

We may consider this range when comfort, hydration, coverage and a gentle-feeling routine are important. Sensitive skin can still experience dryness, congestion, uneven tone or visible signs of ageing, so recommendations should consider the whole picture rather than sensitivity alone.

EXO-GROW professional scalp and hair care

exo grow hair care

Read more about ExoGrow

Healthy-looking hair begins with appropriate care for the scalp.

The EXO-GROW range provides professional home-care options designed to complement suitable scalp and hair treatment plans. Depending on your needs, your practitioner may recommend EXO-GROW Hair Tonic, a scalp mask or another appropriate product from the range.

EXO-GROW cannot create new hair follicles, diagnose the cause of hair loss or guarantee regrowth. We recommend it according to your scalp, pattern of thinning and wider treatment plan.

Skinade skincare supplements

skinade London

Read more about Skinade

Skinade offers drinkable skincare supplements designed to complement, rather than replace, topical skincare and healthy daily habits.

Some patients enjoy including a supplement within a broader routine focused on the appearance and condition of their skin. However, supplements do not replace a balanced diet, daily sun protection, appropriate skincare or professional medical advice.

If you are pregnant, breastfeeding, taking medication or managing a health condition, check suitability with an appropriate healthcare professional before beginning any supplement.

Your home routine should support your professional treatments

The products you use at home can influence how comfortably your skin responds to treatment and how well you maintain the improvements afterwards.

Certain active ingredients may need to be paused before or after procedures such as:

  • Skin peels
  • Dermapen microneedling
  • Laser skin resurfacing
  • PhotoFacial rejuvenation
  • Laser pigmentation treatment
  • Medical microdermabrasion
  • DermaFrac
  • Mesotherapy and skin boosters

Your practitioner will explain which products to continue, pause or introduce. Please do not assume that a product is suitable immediately after treatment simply because you have used it before.

Skin care product FAQs

Do I need to use every product from the same skincare brand?

No. Some patients prefer a complete routine from one range, while others benefit from carefully selected products across different brands.

Compatibility matters more than matching labels. We look at the formulation, active ingredients, purpose and your skin’s tolerance before recommending a combination.

A mixed routine should still remain clear and manageable. There is little value in combining several excellent products if your skin becomes overwhelmed or you cannot use them consistently.

Are professional skin care products suitable for sensitive skin?

Some are, but not every product will suit every sensitive skin.

Sensitivity can have different causes, including a disrupted skin barrier, overuse of active ingredients, an unsuitable routine or an underlying skin condition.

We will assess how your skin behaves and recommend gentler options where appropriate. Stronger does not automatically mean better, particularly when the skin already feels irritated or reactive.

How long do skin care products take to work?

This depends on the product, the concern and how consistently you use your routine.

Hydration and comfort may improve relatively quickly. Concerns involving congestion, uneven-looking tone, texture or visible ageing usually require more time and consistent use.

Your skin may also need time to adjust to certain active ingredients. Introducing too much too quickly can cause irritation and make it difficult to understand which product is helping.

Can I use active skincare before and after a skin treatment?

Not always.

Ingredients such as retinoids, exfoliating acids and other active formulations may need to be paused before or after certain treatments. The correct timing depends on the procedure, product strength, your skin and how it responds.

Tell your practitioner about every product you use, including prescription skincare. Do not stop prescribed medication without speaking to the healthcare professional responsible for your care.

Do I need to replace my entire skincare routine?

Usually not.

We will look at what you already own and identify anything that remains suitable. In many cases, one missing step or one unsuitable active is causing more difficulty than the entire routine.

Our aim is to improve what you use, not replace products simply for the sake of selling you something new.

Can skin care products treat acne, rosacea or another skin condition?

Appropriate skincare can support the appearance, comfort and daily management of some concerns, but cosmetic products do not replace medical diagnosis or treatment.

Persistent acne, rosacea, eczema, unexplained rashes or other concerning symptoms may require assessment by a GP or dermatologist.

We will explain when skincare may provide useful support and when medical advice should come first.

Is mineral makeup better for the skin?

Mineral makeup can provide comfortable coverage and may suit patients who prefer lighter-feeling complexion products or want makeup that complements their sun-protection routine.

However, “mineral” does not automatically mean that every formula will suit every person. Shade, finish, coverage, ingredients and individual sensitivity still matter.

We can help you choose an option based on how you want your skin to look and feel.

Can I buy skin care products without a consultation?

Yes you can, however we would advise to always contact the clinic in advance to check current availability.

Some familiar products may be suitable for repeat purchase, while active or treatment-specific products are best selected with professional guidance.

A consultation is particularly valuable if your skin has changed, you have experienced a reaction or you plan to begin a professional treatment course.
