Mesotherapy and Skin Boosters

Mesotherapy and Skin Boosters London

Fresher, more hydrated-looking skin without changing the natural shape of your face

Mesotherapy in London offers a more targeted option when your skin looks dull, dehydrated or more tired than you feel, and applying another layer of moisturiser no longer makes the difference you hoped for.

Fine lines may be becoming more noticeable. Your complexion may have lost some of its freshness, or the delicate skin around your eyes, neck or décolleté may look crepey and depleted.

Mesotherapy and skin boosters are injectable treatments designed to improve hydration and overall skin quality from within. Rather than adding facial volume or changing your features, treatment focuses on helping your skin appear smoother, fresher and more radiant.

At Skin Perfection London, we use carefully selected formulations from the MesoHyal range. Your treatment is personalised according to your skin, the area being treated and what you would realistically like to improve.

Neck Mesotherapy/ Skin Boosters

When your skin needs more than another cream or facial

Good skincare is essential, but topical products work primarily at the skin’s surface. They cannot always address the dehydrated, crepey or tired-looking quality that develops as the skin changes over time.

Mesotherapy delivers small amounts of a selected formulation through a series of superficial injections. Depending on your skin’s needs, this may include hyaluronic acid alongside other carefully selected ingredients.

You may consider treatment if your skin appears:

  • Dull or tired
  • Dehydrated or lacking suppleness
  • Rough or uneven in texture
  • Less firm than it once was
  • Affected by early fine lines
  • Crepey around the face, neck or décolleté
  • Depleted around the delicate eye area
  • Weathered or affected by environmental exposure

The aim is not to make you look different. It is to help your skin look healthier, fresher and better hydrated while preserving your natural facial expression and proportions.

What can mesotherapy in London help improve?

Depending on the formulation selected, treatment may help improve the appearance of:

  • Dehydrated skin
  • Dull or tired-looking skin
  • Early fine lines
  • Crepey skin texture
  • Loss of softness and suppleness
  • Uneven-looking texture
  • Skin lacking radiance
  • Early signs of skin ageing
  • Selected under-eye concerns
  • Ageing skin on the neck, décolleté and backs of the hands

Mesotherapy may also form part of a wider skin rejuvenation plan when one treatment alone is unlikely to address everything that concerns you.

Results vary, and no injectable skin treatment can stop the natural ageing process. Your consultation allows us to determine whether mesotherapy is suitable or whether another treatment would be more appropriate.

What results can you expect from mesotherapy in London?

As your treatment course progresses, your skin may begin to feel better hydrated and appear smoother, fresher and more luminous.

Depending on your starting point and the formulation used, you may notice:

  • A fresher and more rested appearance
  • Improved skin hydration
  • Softer-looking fine lines
  • Smoother-looking texture
  • Greater suppleness
  • A healthier-looking glow
  • Less crepey-looking skin
  • More even-looking skin quality

Some patients notice an early improvement in hydration or radiance, while others see a more gradual change across a course of treatments.

Mesotherapy is not the same as dermal filler and will not create structural facial volume, lift significantly sagging tissue or reshape your features. Its role is to support the appearance and quality of the skin.

Results cannot be guaranteed, and maintenance is normally required if you wish to preserve the improvement.

How do mesotherapy and skin boosters work?

During a mesotherapy London treatment, small amounts of a selected formulation are placed into the superficial layers of the skin using a series of precise injections.

These injections allow hydrating and skin-supporting ingredients to be delivered directly into the treatment area. Hyaluronic acid attracts and retains moisture, helping the skin appear more hydrated and supple.

Other ingredients may be selected to support concerns such as dullness, uneven texture, loss of firmness or early signs of ageing.

The injections also create a controlled response within the skin. The degree of improvement will depend on the product used, the treatment area, your skin’s condition and how your body responds.

At Skin Perfection London, we do not use the same cocktail for everyone. The formulation, quantity and treatment pattern are selected only after your skin and medical history have been assessed.

Mesotherapy, skin boosters and dermal fillers: what is the difference?

These terms are sometimes used interchangeably, but they do not all describe the same type of treatment.

Mesotherapy involves multiple small, superficial injections of a carefully selected formulation. The aim is generally to improve hydration, radiance and overall skin quality.

Skin booster is a broader patient-friendly term commonly used for injectable treatments intended to improve skin hydration and condition rather than create significant structural volume.

Dermal fillers are placed more strategically and usually at a different depth to replace volume, enhance facial contours or provide structural support.

Mesotherapy is therefore more appropriate for patients seeking fresher, better-hydrated skin without significantly changing the shape or proportions of their face.

During your consultation, we will explain which category of treatment is most appropriate rather than recommending an injectable simply because it is currently popular.

Personalised MesoHyal formulations for different skin concerns

We use selected formulations from the professional MesoHyal range by Mesoestetic. These are designed for intradermal administration and allow treatment to be adapted to different areas and skin concerns.

Your practitioner may recommend one formulation or a carefully selected combination, depending on your skin.

MesoHyal Hyaluronic

Selected primarily when dehydration, loss of suppleness and early fine lines are the main concerns. Hyaluronic acid helps attract moisture within the skin, supporting a fresher and more hydrated appearance.

MesoHyal NCTC 109

May be considered for dull, tired-looking or depleted skin requiring broader revitalisation and hydration support.

MesoHyal DMAE

Your practitioner may select this formulation when loss of firmness is one of your concerns. However, it cannot replace a surgical lift, remove jowls or significantly tighten loose skin.

MesoHyal X-DNA

This formulation contains hyaluronic acid and polynucleotide-derived ingredients. Your practitioner may recommend it when you want to improve hydration, fine texture and overall skin quality.

It worth to mention, this formulation should not be confused with every standalone polynucleotide treatment, as products, concentrations and treatment protocols vary.

MesoHyal Vitamin C

Your practitioner may use this formulation to support a brighter, more even-looking complexion when dullness is your main concern. It cannot remove all pigmentation or reverse established sun damage.

MesoHyal Organic Silicon

Your practitioner may recommend this formulation to improve uneven texture, early loss of firmness, selected scars or early stretch marks.

MesoHyal Oligoelements

Designed to support skin affected by fine lines, reduced elasticity or environmental ageing.

MesoHyal Melilot

Your practitioner may select this specialist formulation for certain concerns around the delicate eye area, including a puffy or congested appearance.

Not every dark circle or under-eye concern is a result of the same thing. Pigmentation, visible blood vessels, hollowness and fluid retention require different approaches, so an assessment is essential.

Which areas can you treat?

Depending on your skin, the selected formulation and your medical suitability, your practitioner may use mesotherapy to treat:

  • The face
  • Cheeks
  • Lower face
  • Delicate eye area
  • Neck
  • Décolleté
  • Backs of the hands
  • Selected areas of the body
  • Early stretch marks or selected scars

Treatment on the hands may help improve hydration and crepey texture, but it will not remove prominent veins, tendons or significant volume loss.

Similarly, when it comes to treatments around the eyes you must be careful when selecting your treatment.  Mesotherapy cannot correct every cause of dark circles, eye bags or hollowness.

Why an expert assessment matters

Injectable treatment should never begin with a product menu. It should begin with an assessment of your skin, your medical history and the result you are hoping to achieve.

During your consultation, we will consider:

  • Your principal skin concerns
  • The condition and hydration of your skin
  • The areas you would like treated
  • Previous injectable or skin treatments
  • Medication and relevant medical history
  • Allergies and skin sensitivities
  • Whether you are pregnant or breastfeeding
  • The formulation most appropriate for your skin
  • Whether mesotherapy is genuinely the right treatment

Dullness, pigmentation, under-eye darkness, fine lines and skin laxity can all have different causes. If another treatment is more likely to provide a worthwhile improvement, we will explain why.

Mesotherapy & Skin Booster FAQs

What happens during a mesotherapy treatment?

Your skin will first be cleansed and the treatment areas carefully assessed.

Your practitioner will then use a fine needle to place small amounts of the selected formulation into the superficial layers of the skin. Multiple injection points are required to distribute the product across the treatment area.

You may feel brief pinching, stinging or pressure during the injections.

Afterwards, your skin may appear red or slightly swollen, and small raised bumps may be visible where the formulation has been placed. These generally settle as the product disperses.

Does mesotherapy hurt?

Most patients tolerate mesotherapy well, but it is not completely sensation-free.

You may feel a series of small pinches or stinging sensations as the injections are performed. Delicate areas, particularly around the eyes and mouth, can feel more sensitive.

Any discomfort is usually brief. If you are particularly sensitive or anxious about needles, please tell us during your consultation so that we can discuss your comfort and whether treatment is suitable.

How many mesotherapy sessions will I need?

A course of approximately 3 to 6 sessions may be recommended, often with treatments spaced around two weeks apart.

The number you need will depend on your skin’s starting condition, the area being treated, the formulation selected and the degree of improvement you would like to achieve.

Some patients notice an early improvement in hydration, but a course is usually recommended when the aim is to create a more progressive and sustained change in skin quality.

When will I see the results?

Your skin may begin to look fresher or feel better hydrated after an early session, but results vary and are not always immediate.

Further improvement may become noticeable as you progress through your recommended course and the skin settles between treatments.

It is best to assess the overall result after completing the initial plan rather than judging the treatment solely by the first few days.

How long do mesotherapy results last?

The duration of your results will depend on your skin, lifestyle, skincare routine, the formulation used and the number of sessions completed.

Mesotherapy cannot stop the skin from ageing or becoming dehydrated again. Maintenance treatment may be recommended approximately every 3 to 6 months, although this varies between patients.

Daily sun protection and appropriate home skincare may help support your results.

Is there any downtime after mesotherapy?

Most patients can return to normal daily activities quickly, but it would be misleading to promise no downtime.

Immediately after treatment, you may experience:

  • Redness
  • Mild swelling
  • Tenderness or sensitivity
  • Small raised injection points
  • Pinpoint bleeding
  • Bruising
  • Itching or warmth

These effects are usually temporary but can remain visible for several days. Bruising may last longer.

Avoid arranging treatment immediately before an important occasion in case your skin takes longer than expected to settle.

What is the difference between mesotherapy and dermal filler?

Mesotherapy is performed using multiple small, superficial injections and is primarily intended to improve hydration and skin quality.

Dermal fillers are generally placed at specific points and depths to restore volume, enhance contours or provide structural support.

Mesotherapy should not significantly alter your facial shape. If volume loss, deeper folds or facial structure are your primary concerns, a different treatment may be more appropriate.

Are mesotherapy and skin boosters the same?

The terms overlap but are not always identical.

Mesotherapy describes an injection technique through which small amounts of a selected formulation are distributed across the skin.

“Skin booster” is a broad term used for injectable products intended to improve hydration and skin quality. Different skin boosters contain different ingredients and are delivered using different treatment protocols.

We will always explain the specific formulation being recommended rather than relying on a general treatment name.

Can mesotherapy treat dark circles or under-eye bags?

It may help selected patients whose under-eye concerns involve dehydration, crepey texture or a puffy appearance.

However, dark circles can be caused by pigmentation, visible blood vessels, shadowing, hollowness, lifestyle factors or inherited facial anatomy. Eye bags may also involve fat pads or skin laxity rather than simple fluid retention.

Mesotherapy cannot correct every cause. Your eye area must be assessed before we can determine whether treatment is likely to help.

Can mesotherapy improve pigmentation or sun damage?

Certain formulations may support a brighter and more even-looking complexion, but mesotherapy is not always the most appropriate treatment for established pigmentation or sun damage.

Different forms of pigmentation behave differently. Treating them without an accurate assessment can result in little improvement or, in some cases, irritation and worsening discolouration.

If pigmentation is your main concern, we may recommend a skin peel, PhotoFacial rejuvenation or another personalised approach.

Is mesotherapy suitable for every skin tone?

Mesotherapy may be considered across a broad range of skin tones, but suitability depends on more than skin colour alone.

Your medical history, allergies, current skin condition, tendency towards pigmentation, the treatment area and the formulation being considered must all be assessed.

Patients who are prone to post-inflammatory pigmentation require particularly careful treatment planning and aftercare.

Can I have mesotherapy while pregnant or breastfeeding?

We do not perform elective mesotherapy or skin booster treatment during pregnancy.

Treatment may also need to be postponed while breastfeeding, depending on the formulation being considered and your individual circumstances.

Please tell us if you are pregnant, breastfeeding, trying to conceive or undergoing fertility treatment before booking your procedure.

How should I prepare for mesotherapy?

Before treatment:

  • Tell us about all medication, supplements and skincare you use
  • Inform us of any allergies or previous reactions
  • Avoid irritating or aggressively exfoliating the treatment area
  • Avoid alcohol immediately before treatment, as it may increase bruising
  • Arrive with clean skin where possible
  • Tell us if you feel unwell or develop an infection
  • Inform us of any change to your health or medical history

Do not stop prescribed medication unless the healthcare professional responsible for your care has advised you to do so.

What aftercare will I need to follow?

Your practitioner will provide aftercare appropriate to your formulation and treatment area.

You will generally be advised to:

  • Avoid touching or rubbing the treated skin unnecessarily
  • Avoid applying makeup until advised
  • Avoid strenuous exercise, saunas, steam rooms and excessive heat
  • Avoid alcohol for the recommended period
  • Avoid active skincare until the skin has settled
  • Protect your skin from excessive sun exposure
  • Use broad-spectrum sun protection
  • Contact the clinic if you experience an unexpected or worsening reaction

Do not massage the treated area unless your practitioner has specifically instructed you to do so.

Who will carry out my mesotherapy treatment?

Your consultation and treatment will be completed by a trained and experienced Skin Perfection practitioner working within the clinic’s injectable treatment and safety protocols.

Your practitioner will assess your medical suitability, discuss the available formulations and explain the expected benefits, limitations, risks and aftercare before you consent to treatment.

Skin Perfection London is licensed by Westminster City Council to provide special treatments.

I’ve been coming here for over a month now for blue LED light treatment and can’t recommend enough! The treatment itself has done wonders for my acne, the staff are lovely and the location is great. I also think the prices are very reasonable and have recommended Skin Perfection to my sister, who has started the same treatment.

I have visited the saloon for 6 course of yellow LED light therapy. The ladies there are all very nice and gave me full information about the treatment before during and after the course of 6. It is quite difficult to take appointment within a short time so i suggest to book your slot asap as they get fully booked very easily. …

I had my first session of laser hair removal today. I was anxious but Lauren B was very informative, professional and patient. I even noticed results from my patch test. … I’m delighted with the results of my recent LVL (“lash volume lift”) treatment. Lilly added volume and dimension to my stick straight, long blonde lashes. The curl and blue/black tint really made them pop! I feel so pretty and awake now without makeup, and with mascara, the extra drama is intense in the best way. So happy I found a way to enhance my lashe without those high-maintenance and damaging extensions.
    Lindsay Gray

… I have had a course of skin treatments: photofacial rejuvenation combined with a peel and my skin feels so much better for it. It can be uncomfortable during treatment but definitely worth the results.

I’d highly recommend Skin Perfection. I’ve used them for my lazer hair removal and it has been extremely successful. They are incredibly professional, fast and organised, always texting or calling before appointments, always on time and the treatment itself has worked really well and I’m going to continue using them for more.
