Korean Glass Skin Facial

Korean Glass Skin Facial London

Looking for a Korean facial in London that offers more than a temporary glow? The IDENEL Glassifier supports smoother texture, brighter tone and firmer, more luminous-looking skin without injections or a traditional microneedling device.

It may feel rougher beneath your fingertips, appear dull even after a good night’s sleep, or show fine lines and visible pores more clearly than before. You have tried new serums, changed your routine and booked facials that left you glowing for a few days. Still, the improvement never seems to last.

And maybe you are curious about microneedling but feel less enthusiastic about the needles, injections or sensation of an electronic needling device. That is completely understandable.

Our Korean glass skin facial in London offers a different approach.

The IDENEL Skin Glassifier™ combines microscopic sponge-derived spicules, advanced peptide technology and ingredients selected for your individual skin concerns. There are no injections or traditional microneedling cartridges. Instead, the professional formulation is carefully massaged into the skin to support renewal and improve the appearance of texture, tone, pores, hydration and early signs of ageing.

The aim is to help your skin appear smoother, clearer, brighter and beautifully refined. Healthy-looking skin that catches the light a little differently. That is the feeling we are working towards.

What is the IDENEL Korean Glass Skin Facial?

IDENEL Skin Glassifier is a professional Korean skin treatment designed to improve overall skin quality rather than provide surface hydration alone.

The treatment uses microscopic structures known as spicules, which are derived from freshwater sponges. These naturally needle-shaped structures are combined with IDENEL’s PEPTAXEL™ and ALTUM® peptide-delivery technology.

During treatment, the spicules are gently massaged into the skin. They create temporary microscopic pathways through the outer skin barrier while carrying attached GHK peptides within the treatment formulation.

The technology is designed so that naturally occurring glutathione within the skin helps release the GHK peptides from their spicule carriers. This allows the peptides to participate in processes associated with skin renewal, resilience and collagen support.

Your formulation may also contain complementary ingredients selected to support concerns such as dehydration, dullness, visible pores, uneven tone or early loss of firmness.

The result is a highly personalised facial designed to help the skin look healthier, smoother and more luminous over time.

What does “glass skin” actually mean?

The Korean glass skin trend describes a complexion that appears exceptionally smooth, hydrated, clear and luminous.

It does not mean that real skin should be completely poreless, perfectly even or free from every line. Those expectations are neither realistic nor particularly kind to place on yourself.

At Skin Perfection London, we interpret glass skin as skin that looks:

  • Smooth and refined
  • Fresh and well hydrated
  • Clearer and more even
  • Naturally luminous
  • Plumper and healthier
  • Less affected by visible roughness or dullness
  • Radiant without appearing greasy

The IDENEL Glassifier is designed to help you work towards this finish by supporting several aspects of skin quality within one personalised treatment.

What can the IDENEL Korean facial help improve?

Depending on your skin, concerns and chosen formulation, treatment may help improve the appearance of:

  • Dull or tired-looking skin
  • Uneven or rough skin texture
  • Enlarged-looking pores
  • Fine surface lines
  • Early loss of firmness
  • Reduced skin elasticity
  • Dehydrated-looking skin
  • Uneven skin tone
  • Selected pigmentation concerns
  • Post-blemish marks
  • General skin quality and radiance

The treatment cannot remove deep wrinkles, replace lost facial volume or significantly tighten loose skin. It should not be expected to erase pores or produce perfectly flawless skin.

Your consultation allows us to determine whether Glassifier is likely to provide a worthwhile improvement or whether another treatment would be better suited to your concern.

A different approach to traditional microneedling

Glassifier is often described as bio-microneedling or needle-free microneedling. To be completely transparent, neither description tells the whole story on its own.

The treatment does not use:

  • An electronic microneedling pen
  • A disposable needle cartridge
  • Repeated mechanical stamping
  • Injections
  • Injectable skin boosters

It does, however, use naturally needle-shaped microscopic spicules that enter the outer layers of the skin.

You may therefore feel tingling, warmth or a prickling sensation during treatment. Your skin can also remain sensitive to touch afterwards while the microscopic spicules naturally shed.

For patients who dislike conventional microneedling devices or injections, this may feel like a more appealing way to access an advanced skin-renewal treatment. It is not, however, a sensation-free facial.

If traditional Dermapen microneedling would be more suitable for your concern, we will explain the difference and help you choose based on your skin rather than the latest trend.

How does IDENEL Glassifier work?

Microscopic sponge spicules

Freshwater sponges contain tiny structural elements known as spicules.

For the IDENEL treatment system, these spicules are extracted, purified, refined and sterilised before being incorporated into the professional formulation.

When massaged into the skin, they create temporary microscopic pathways through the outer skin barrier and provide a controlled physical stimulus.

PEPTAXEL™ peptide delivery

IDENEL’s PEPTAXEL system uses ALTUM technology to chemically attach GHK peptides to the spicules.

Rather than simply mixing the peptides with the spicules, the technology allows the spicules to act as microscopic carriers.

Once within the skin, naturally occurring glutathione is designed to help break the bond attaching the peptide to its carrier. This supports controlled release of the GHK peptide within the targeted skin layers.

Skin renewal and collagen support

GHK is a naturally occurring peptide that has been studied for its role in tissue repair and collagen-related activity.

The treatment is designed to support the processes associated with smoother texture, greater resilience and firmer-looking skin.

Changes involving collagen do not happen overnight. Although you may notice earlier improvements in radiance or smoothness, more meaningful changes in skin quality generally require time and, in many cases, a course of treatment.

Personalised ingredients for your skin

Your skin is not identical to the person you saw having this treatment online. Your formulation should not be identical either.

At Skin Perfection London, we select the professional powder, concentrate and any complementary booster according to your skin condition, sensitivity and priorities.

Perhaps you want to focus on brightness and uneven tone. Maybe texture, visible pores or early loss of firmness bother you more. Sometimes the priority is simply helping depleted-looking skin appear healthier again.

The formulation will be chosen after we have assessed your skin rather than following a one-size-fits-all protocol.

Which ingredients may be used in my Glassifier treatment?

Depending on the selected formulation, your treatment may include:

GHK peptides

GHK is a naturally occurring peptide associated with skin repair and collagen-related processes. Within the Glassifier system, GHK peptides are attached to microscopic spicules using ALTUM technology.

PDRN

PDRN is used in selected advanced Korean skincare formulations to support skin conditioning, recovery and overall skin quality.

Glutathione

Glutathione is an antioxidant used in brightening and skin-conditioning formulations. The glutathione included in a topical booster is separate from the glutathione naturally present within the skin that participates in the ALTUM release mechanism.

Niacinamide

Niacinamide can help support the skin barrier while improving the appearance of uneven tone, visible pores and dullness.

Hyaluronic acid

Hyaluronic acid attracts and retains moisture, helping the skin appear smoother, plumper and better hydrated.

Ectoin

Ectoin is used to support hydration, comfort and the resilience of the skin barrier.

Arbutin

Arbutin is a brightening ingredient that may help improve the appearance of uneven pigmentation.

Tranexamic acid

Topical tranexamic acid may form part of a formulation selected for visible discolouration or post-blemish marks.

Lactobacillus-derived extracellular vesicles

The optional Glutagen Skin Booster M contains bacterial-derived extracellular vesicles as part of its advanced skin-conditioning formulation. These are not human-derived exosomes.

Not every ingredient will be appropriate or necessary for every patient. Your practitioner will select the formulation according to your skin and the treatment protocol.

What happens during your Korean glass skin facial?

Your skin consultation

Your Korean facial in London begins with a professional assessment of your skin, sensitivity and treatment goals.

We will consider your skin tone, sensitivity, barrier condition, current skincare, medical history and previous treatments. This helps us decide whether Glassifier is appropriate and which formulation may suit you.

Skin preparation

Your skin will be carefully cleansed and prepared for treatment. Makeup, surface oils and skincare residue must be removed before the professional formulation is applied.

Your personalised Glassifier formulation

Your practitioner prepares the selected PEPTAXEL powder and concentrate immediately before application.

The choice may differ depending on whether the priority is texture, firmness, brightness, hydration or general rejuvenation.

Spicule application

The formulation is massaged into the skin using a controlled technique.

You may experience prickling, tingling or warmth as the microscopic spicules enter the outer skin. The sensation can become more noticeable when the skin is touched.

Finishing and barrier support

Where appropriate, a complementary booster and soothing, barrier-supporting products may be applied.

You will then receive personalised aftercare instructions to help protect your skin while it settles.

What results can you expect?

After a suitable Glassifier treatment or personalised course, your skin may appear:

  • Brighter and fresher
  • Smoother in texture
  • More refined around visible pores
  • Better hydrated
  • More even in tone
  • Firmer and more resilient
  • Softer around fine surface lines
  • Healthier and more luminous

Some patients notice an early improvement in radiance once the initial sensitivity settles. Changes involving firmness, texture and overall skin quality may develop more gradually.

Results vary according to your starting skin condition, chosen formulation, treatment frequency, home care and individual response.

Glassifier cannot guarantee “perfect” glass skin. It will not remove deep lines, significant laxity, structural scarring or all pigmentation. The goal is a natural, progressive improvement in the quality and appearance of your skin.

How many Glassifier treatments will you need?

You may notice that your skin looks fresher after one treatment. However, generally we recommend a full course when the aim is to address concerns such as uneven texture, visible pores, fine lines or reduced firmness.

A typical programme may include:

  • An initial course of approximately five treatments
  • Treatments spaced around one to two weeks apart
  • A rest period of approximately one to two months after the course
  • Reassessment before maintenance treatment is recommended

The exact timing will depend on your skin’s tolerance and response.

More frequent treatment is not automatically better. Your skin needs time to settle, renew and show us how it is responding

Is there any downtime?

Glassifier is less invasive than injectable treatment and does not involve a conventional microneedling device. Still, some visible and sensory recovery should be expected.

Immediately afterwards, your skin may:

  • Look red or flushed
  • Feel warm or tight
  • Feel prickly when touched
  • Appear temporarily sensitive
  • Feel drier than usual

Redness may settle within several hours, although it can last longer in some patients.

Light dryness or flaking may develop around two to three days after treatment. The skin can remain sensitive while the spicules naturally work their way out of the surface.

We recommend avoiding treatment immediately before an important event, particularly if it is your first session. Your skin may settle quickly, but it is better not to gamble with the photographs.

Is the Korean Glass Skin Facial suitable for you?

This Korean facial in London may suit patients who want to improve skin quality without injections or a conventional microneedling device.

  • Want to improve overall skin quality
  • Feel your complexion looks dull or depleted
  • Are concerned about visible pores or rough texture
  • Have noticed early fine lines or reduced elasticity
  • Want brighter, more even-looking skin
  • Prefer to avoid injections
  • Feel uncomfortable with an electronic microneedling device
  • Understand that results develop gradually
  • Can follow the required aftercare

Treatment may not be appropriate if you have:

  • An active skin infection
  • Open, broken or significantly irritated skin
  • An impaired skin barrier
  • Active inflammatory skin disease within the area
  • A current cold sore outbreak
  • A known sensitivity to an ingredient in the selected formulation
  • A medical condition or medication that affects healing
  • Recently undergone another incompatible procedure

This is not an exhaustive list. Your suitability must be assessed individually before treatment.

If you have a persistent rash, unexplained lesion, active dermatitis or another medical skin concern, an appropriate healthcare professional may need to assess your skin before you undergo cosmetic treatment.

Your Korean facial in London questions answered

Is the Korean glass skin facial really needle-free?

The treatment does not use injections, an electronic microneedling pen or a traditional needle cartridge.

However, it uses microscopic, naturally needle-shaped sponge spicules that enter the outer layers of the skin. It is therefore more accurate to describe Glassifier as an alternative to conventional device-based microneedling rather than suggesting that no microscopic penetration occurs.

Does the IDENEL Glassifier hurt?

Most patients should expect some prickling, tingling or warmth during application.

The skin may continue to feel prickly afterwards, particularly when touched. Individual sensitivity varies, and certain areas of the face may feel more noticeable than others.

No anaesthetic is normally required.

What are sponge spicules?

Spicules are microscopic structural elements obtained from freshwater sponges.

Their naturally needle-like shape allows them to create temporary pathways through the outer skin barrier when carefully massaged into the skin.

Within the IDENEL Glassifier system, the spicules also act as carriers for attached GHK peptides.

How is Glassifier different from Dermapen microneedling?

Dermapen 4 uses a controlled electronic device with a sterile, single-use needle cartridge. The practitioner adjusts the treatment depth according to the area and concern.

Glassifier does not use an electronic device or conventional needle cartridge. Instead, microscopic sponge spicules are massaged into the skin as part of a professional topical formulation.

Both treatments may support skin renewal, but they work differently and are not interchangeable. Dermapen may be more appropriate for concerns requiring controlled mechanical needling at selected depths, while Glassifier may appeal to patients looking for a Korean spicule and peptide treatment.

Your practitioner can explain which option is more suitable for your skin.

Is Glassifier the same as a skin booster injection?

No. Glassifier is a topical professional treatment and does not involve injecting a product beneath the skin.

Although the treatment may include ingredients commonly associated with skin-quality treatments, it cannot create the same effect as an injectable product and should not be described as an injectable alternative in every respect.

When will I see results?

You may notice that your complexion looks brighter or smoother once the initial redness, sensitivity or dryness has settled.

Improvements involving texture, visible pores, firmness and general skin quality may develop more gradually, particularly when treatment forms part of a course.

Your results should be judged after the skin has had sufficient time to recover rather than immediately after application.

How many Korean glass skin facials will I need?

A course of approximately five treatments, usually spaced one to two weeks apart, may be recommended.

Your plan may differ depending on your skin, sensitivity, treatment goals and response. After completing a course, a rest period and reassessment are recommended before further treatment is planned.

Will my skin peel after Glassifier?

Light dryness or flaking may occur around two to three days after treatment.

Not every patient will experience visible peeling. If it does occur, allow the dry skin to shed naturally. Picking, rubbing or exfoliating may irritate the skin and increase the risk of unwanted pigmentation.

Can Glassifier help pigmentation?

A personalised formulation may help improve the appearance of selected pigmentation, uneven tone or post-blemish marks.

However, pigmentation has several possible causes. Melasma, post-inflammatory pigmentation and sun-related discolouration do not always respond in the same way.

We will assess the pattern and likely cause before recommending treatment. Glassifier cannot guarantee complete pigment removal, and sun protection remains essential.

Can Glassifier treat acne scars?

Glassifier may support general texture and the appearance of mild post-blemish irregularities.

It should not be expected to remove deep or tethered acne scars. More established scarring may require Dermapen 4, laser skin resurfacing or a combination plan, depending on the scar type and your skin suitability.

Is Glassifier suitable for sensitive skin?

Some formulations may be designed for skin that requires a gentler approach, but sensitive skin still needs careful assessment.

Treatment may not be appropriate when the skin barrier is damaged or when eczema, dermatitis, rosacea or another inflammatory condition is active.

Feeling that your skin is “sensitive” does not tell us exactly how it will respond. We need to examine it first.

What should I avoid after treatment?

Your practitioner will provide personalised instructions, but you will generally need to:

  • Avoid picking, rubbing or exfoliating the skin
  • Avoid retinoids, exfoliating acids, scrubs and other irritating products
  • Use gentle, barrier-supporting skincare
  • Avoid strenuous exercise, saunas and excessive heat for the advised period
  • Avoid alcohol immediately after treatment where advised
  • Postpone other facial procedures until the skin has recovered
  • Protect your skin from direct sun exposure
  • Apply broad-spectrum sun protection as instructed

Do not introduce a new active skincare product while the skin is settling.

Can I wear makeup after Glassifier?

You may need to avoid makeup immediately after treatment while the skin barrier is recovering.

The timing will depend on your skin response and the clinic’s aftercare protocol. Your practitioner will tell you when it is appropriate to reapply makeup.

When you do resume, use clean applicators and avoid heavily fragranced or irritating products.

Can I combine Glassifier with other treatments?

Glassifier may form part of a wider skin plan, but treatments must be spaced appropriately.

Laser procedures, chemical peels, microneedling, injectables and other advanced facials should not be scheduled too close together. Combining treatments without allowing the skin to recover may increase irritation rather than improve your result.

Tell your practitioner about every recent or planned cosmetic procedure before treatment.

Are Glassifier results permanent?

No cosmetic facial can permanently stop ageing, sun exposure, hormonal changes or changes within the skin.

A course may produce progressive improvement, while appropriate home care and maintenance treatments may help preserve the result.

We will recommend maintenance only when it is likely to provide a worthwhile benefit.
