What happens during laser hair treatment?

It is necessary to shave the area to be treated before the treatment so that the laser can easily access the hair follicle. The site to be treated is cleaned, and any moles or tattoos are covered. You will be given protective eyewear for your own safety. Our skilled laser practitioner will select the appropriate treatment level for your skin and start the treatment. As the laser passes over your skin, pulses of concentrated light are directed into the hair follicles. This light converts to heat which damages the follicles. After the follicles have received sufficient exposure to the laser, they will not grow hair.

The treatment is not painful in fact most people find it easier to tolerate than waxing. Some people report a hot prickling sensation during laser treatment, but the Cynosure system that we use blows cool air over the skin during the laser treatment to minimise this problem. If your skin still feels tender afterwards you could use aloe vera or an ice pack to soothe your skin.

Bikini Hair Removal at Skin Perfection

Our bikini laser packages cover three different levels of hair removal.

The standard bikini laser treatment removes hair from two fingers width on each side of your panty line. You may ask ‘What is an extended bikini laser treatment?’ This treatment, sometimes called a Brazilian, removes hairs four fingers width from the sides, giving you either a ‘landing strip’ down the middle or an inverted triangle. The full bikini laser treatment, or Hollywood, leaves a strip of hair narrower than the Brazilian or none, if you prefer.

Many of our clients worry about how to get rid of perianal hair. It’s no problem. Our highly trained technicians are specially trained to remove hair from this sensitive area. It is a different treatment from the other bikini treatments and is charged separately.

Bikini Line laser hair removal cost in London

Laser hair removal is priced by the session, but it is much more economical to pay for a whole course at once. We recommend at least 6 to 8 sessions for the bikini line.
