Unwanted facial hair is a problem for many people but Skin Perfection offers a permanent solution with laser hair removal for the face in London.
Other methods of controlling excess facial hair are time-consuming and expensive. Plucking, waxing, bleaching, and shaving can irritate your skin, and of course, your hair grows back eventually anyway!
Our award-winning clinic and medispa in Oxford Circus use state-of-the-art Cynosure laser technology to give our clients excellent results whatever their skin type or colour.
What is unwanted facial hair?
Anyone can suffer from unwanted facial hair. Many women suffer from hirsutism, which means they have excessive growth of coarse dark hair anywhere on their body, including the face. This hair can be a problem on the upper lip, chin, cheeks, and jawline. Hirsutism can be caused by medical conditions, particularly hormone imbalances, such as polycystic ovary syndrome. The changing hormones around menopause can also cause unwanted hair growth on the face. Some women with dark hair simply dislike their normal facial hair. Laser treatment for facial hair removal can be life-changing for women whose self-esteem has been affected by this issue.
Men often prefer to remove hair that grows beyond the normal beard area, and our therapists are very adept at creating a sharper beard line with laser treatment. Men with a lot of facial hair also find that its permanent removal makes them feel more groomed, saves time and avoids the lumps and bumps caused by shaving. For these clients, we offer a full face laser hair removal option.

Why choose Skin Perfection for laser facial hair removal in London?
Our laser practitioners are highly trained and experienced at using our state-of-the-art laser technology. The lasers used in our clinic are made by Cynosure, an industry leader in medical-grade lasers which has won awards for its innovative products. We use Cynosure’s ND YAG laser, specifically targeting the hair’s melanin rather than the skin, avoiding the hyperpigmentation or discolouration caused by some lasers. This makes the ND YAG an ideal laser for facial hair on Asian and Afro-Caribbean skin.
Skin Perfection is easily located on Oxford Circus, one of the capital’s busiest and most exciting areas. Laser hair removal is only one of many beauty treatments that we offer.
What happens during laser for facial hair?
We want you to enjoy your treatments at Skin Perfection, so our friendly laser therapists will make you very welcome and comfortable. The laser needs to access the hair follicle, so you will be asked to shave the area to be treated. The laser device will be passed over the parts of your face being treated, and a beam will penetrate deep into the follicles, damaging them and preventing the hair from growing again.
Is facial hair removal painful?
Clients don’t find the treatment painful but report a prickling sensation and feeling of heat, which is kept to a minimum by a fan that blows cool air during the treatment. Your skin may feel a little sore, and you may find that further heat will aggravate your skin, so avoid hot baths and showers, steam rooms, etc. until; your skin cools down.
Face Hair Laser Removal Cost London
Laser hair removal is priced by the session. For example, one session to treat the chin costs £69. Many of our clients find that six to ten sessions are needed for a complete result. You can save money by booking an entire course. Remember that laser hair removal for the face is PERMANENT! This will be the last time you spend money dealing with your unwanted facial hair.
