Yes, it’s permanent!
We use medical grade 4 lasers from Cynosure – they manufacture gold-standard laser platforms. Our Elite+ laser delivers precise pulses of light to the skin, which is absorbed by the melanin in the hair and kills the follicle. Without follicles, hair cannot grow. After 6+ treatments, every hair in the area can have been targeted.
You can also be hair-free between treatments; we need patients to shave rather than wax whilst they undergo their course, meaning no day-10 fuzz. You can look and feel great in your skin all-year round, have more time in the morning, and save money on razors, creams and waxing.
It’s not as painful as you may think
Our laser practitioners have been performing laser treatments for years. They are experts in patient care, and will make sure you’re as comfortable as possible throughout your hair removal. The sensation, for most, is tolerable, and a lot less painful to endure than waxing! Our Cynosure laser has a cooling system built-in, to cool and calm the skin mid-treatment.
Your skin may feel tender and appear slightly red after your treatment – like you’ve caught the sun – but our laser practitioners can apply aloe vera gel to the area. If that isn’t enough, you are welcome to stay in the clinic until your skin has calmed down and you feel ready to get on with your day.
Generally, though, most patients only need the post-treatment aloe vera gel.
An end to ingrowns
By permanently reducing the number of follicles able to grow hair on your treated area, you’ll never have to suffer from painful ingrown hairs again. Constantly shaving, plucking and waxing your body hair can cause irritation and inflammation. Shaving delicate areas such as the bikini line or underarms can make you feel uncomfortable for days afterwards.
One size (of wavelength) doesn’t fit all
All lasers were not created equal. Different wavelengths work with different skin and hair types. Due to higher melanin in dark skin, laser for light skin can cause hyperpigmentation, burning and even scarring on darker tones or tans.
Our laser machine can safely and effectively treat all skin types due to the 2 different wavelengths available on this machine. Alexandrite treats lighter skin types and the Nd:Yag is safe for treating darker skin tones and very tanned skin. It’s important to find a laser hair removal clinic to suit you.
You need to try before you buy
Laser hair removal clinic is effective as long as the hair has got pigment in it, so it will attract the laser beam. Very light hair colours such as blonde, red and grey can yield poor results. We would never recommend purchasing a bulk of treatments from a salon or similar, because you need to have a consultation and a patch test to check the suitability of the area.
